This project was to design a car UI for a Mazda concept vehicle. I drew inspiration from the sleek and modern aesthetic associated with with the brand, while emphasizing minimalism without sacrificing functionality. My research involved visiting various EV dealerships to test their interfaces, complemented by interviews to gather insights on what users seek and prefer to avoid in their car interfaces. This hands-on exploration and feedback informed the development of a prototype that stands out for its uniqueness and bespoke design, tailored specifically for the vehicle it inhabits. The goal was to create an interface that doesn't just default to a generic layout crowded with menu options but offers a streamlined and intuitive user experience. The result is a prototype that balances elegance and practicality, embodying a design that's both distinctively modern and perfectly suited to the vehicle's character.
